Modern glamor in the interior. Interiors in glamor style

A bright and luxurious glamor style that can combine several styles, including modern, retro and classic. The glamorous style is associated with the interiors of millionaires and Hollywood stars; in English, glamor is translated as "charm", "charm", charm". In the interior, the glamorous style originates from the more famous Art Deco style. In order to realize glamorous style in the interior, you need to have refined taste and a sense of proportion, which an interior designer with considerable experience already has.

Glamor style in details

Glamorous style is, first of all, a very rich interior, it amazes with its brilliance and brightness of details, as well as luxurious elements such as animal skins and shining chandeliers. The glamorous style has no boundaries in design, because it combines several styles at once; with a creative approach, it can be brought to life in incredible colorful combinations, both in the house of a glamorous star, and in the house of a completely serious male businessman, in addition to residential premises, glamor style can often be found in restaurants and nightclubs.

Glamorous style is often associated with magnificent castles in the Baroque style. However, glamor requires spacious rooms for its implementation, where there are large windows and high ceilings. But the difference between classic and glamor is that in the glamorous style the presence of modern shapes and textures, as well as a variety of color combinations is allowed, but in the classic style, it is better to use pastel shades and restrained combinations in anything.

Materials and color scheme

As for color solutions, this style loves rich and deep colors, which look even more relevant against a neutral background. This can be said about textiles, as well as about texture; these can be the most unusual and contrasting combinations:

  • smooth silk and natural fur
  • glossy and matte surfaces
  • glass and wood
  • warm shades and cold

But most often in a glamorous interior you can find a combination of glossy surfaces, combined with metal, as well as a large number of mirrors and glass surfaces; such interior details cannot go unnoticed, and create the mood of a grand holiday every day.

A classic version of glamor, performed in the interior using light shades:

  • creamy
  • soft pink
  • white
  • beige

These gentle ones are present in furniture, textiles, wall, floor and ceiling decoration. Against this background, gold and silver accessories look good as an accent; they look quite expensive, and in combination with unobtrusive light and airy colors, they help create a truly elegant interior.

Another equally popular option for displaying glamorous style in the interior is the use of rich and deep dark colors. They can be used in furniture upholstery, wallpaper, or in those places that you would like to make accents in the interior, but if the accent is made with dark colors, the entire interior should be made in muted colors, against which the dark shades will acquire even more charm and depth.

We introduce glamor style into the interior

Let's talk about how you can introduce glamor style into your interior without making a major renovation. Even with a minimal amount of expenses, you can create a Hollywood luxurious and bright atmosphere in your home. Learn how to decorate your interior in glamor style below:

  • Using different materials in texture, appearance, and color scheme will bring you closer to the interior of your dreams. Glass tables, crystal vases, furs, light-reflecting surfaces and mirrors are what is inherent in the glamor style in the interior.

Important! Do not use more than two contrasting colors in the interior.

  • Don’t be afraid to experiment, and feel free to use animal prints and bright wallpapers, just keep in mind that they should go well even with the neutral shades that are present in the interior. Don't be afraid to use rhinestones and other shiny elements.

  • It's amazing how textiles can decorate a room. It is enough to purchase several gold or silver pillows, a rug with leopard or zebra print, and decorate the windows with purple curtains to make your interior sparkle with new colors.

  • In glamor style there should be a large amount of artificial lighting, glamor does not tolerate darkness, therefore, in addition to the main sparkling chandelier, you should have additional light sources in the form of sconces, table lamps, and floor lamps.

  • Despite the fact that in a glamorous interior you can see a large number of decorative elements, it is still better to opt for two large decorative elements, this could be a large painting on the floor of the wall, or a vase, let these elements convey the main style of the room, and complement they can be done with a few minor details.

In English and French, the word "glamour" means charm, charm, charm. This term is applicable in fashion, design and cultural life. The style gravitates toward art and is in demand among creative people who follow modern trends. Over the past 10 years, glamor has lost popularity, but this applies to wardrobe items, not interior design. Many interesting ideas for its implementation have emerged. The main advantage of glamor over other trends is its versatility. Residents are given the opportunity to use parts that are incompatible with other directions. If the homeowners do not agree on the design, then a glamorous style can take into account the interests of both. Its purpose is not only beauty, but also to tell more about the resident and his preferences. Glamor style in the interior is a clear illustration of cultural trends.

Glamorous style in the interior: history of appearance

The direction began to develop in the first half of the 20th century, simultaneously with the emergence of show business. Actors, musical performers and fashion designers felt the need for an appropriate creative and aesthetic environment that could reflect their lifestyle and inspire new projects. The broad masses quickly picked up new trends and began purchasing luxury goods and mass products. Some tried to copy celebrities. Glamorous interior design implied the presence of branded items, bright accessories, and luxury items. The cultural phenomenon itself has a longer history: Walter Scott described glamor as “magic that decorates houses.” Then the word changed its original meaning and began to be used more often. The basis of the style was formed in the middle of the 19th century, when its integral component appeared - the promotion of a hedonistic attitude to life.

Style Features

The direction involves the active use of fashion trends and proven stylistic techniques. To decorate your home, you need to focus on such aspects as status, taste and shockingness. Glamor in the interior is, first of all, freedom in choosing shades. They can be anything: from muted to coral, from noble to acidic. Integral elements of glamorous decor are luxury items: expensive furniture and tables, objects of cultural significance. Gold, platinum, silver, pearls, precious stones and marble are used. It is customary to furnish the premises with creative objects: paintings, figurines, designer dishes, and various designs. Another feature is the combination of modernity with classics. Glamorous design allows for similarities with many other styles, as well as their combination.
Glamorous design excludes:

  1. Presence of abrasions.
  2. Sloppyness (a characteristic feature of the loft style).
  3. Monotony.
  4. Lack of bright accents.

Color palette

The style is characterized by the absence of restrictions in the choice of colors. To create a spectacular and expressive interior, you will need rich, pure colors: white, yellow, red, green, blue, purple, black. If preference is given to muted tones, then they should emphasize certain objects. It is preferable that the color is not monotonous and has additional elements, inserts or transitions. Glamorous design can contain a chaotic palette of tones and a large number of color forms. The use of golden and silver shades and the creation of contrasts are encouraged. The walls are decorated with wallpaper, less often with a textured coating. Preference is given to rich colors and patterns in the form of flowers or abstract geometric shapes. Beautiful prints can be applied to horizontal surfaces. Tapestries with elegant designs are allowed.

Materials and finishing methods

The interior requires the presence of expensive or simulating expensive materials. Manufacturers use precious metals. Decorative dishes, jewelry, lamps, furniture frames - a small list of what is made using these materials. To complement a glamorous interior, buy wallpaper with silver-plated or gilded patterns. Precious, semi-precious stones and rhinestones will highlight the appearance of the room. They go well with jewelry, furniture and various accessories. Lamps, furniture elements and tabletops made of crystal or glass are appropriate. Leather products are valued: large and small chairs, sofas. Despite the presence of these materials, the decoration should not look too classic, but instead gravitate towards modern trends and styles such as avant-garde, constructivism and disco.

There is a large selection of substitute materials that not only look like the real thing, but also significantly reduce your budget.

Lighting

Dark rooms can be just as elegant as light ones. But the peculiarity of the glamorous style lies in the brightness and the need for a large space with high ceilings. Those who do not have the skills to decorate dark rooms are advised to create rich natural and artificial lighting. Style does not limit the variety of lighting fixtures. Lamps are placed arbitrarily, depending on the functional need. If the choice is on a dark background with dim light, it will be more difficult to visually divide the space, but there will be an opportunity to create light accents. Saturated lighting against the backdrop of dark or light walls will make you think about highlighting corners with twilight, which will provide more options for design techniques. The light can be either diffused or directed (“halogens”, spotlights).

Furniture

To decorate rooms, it is better to use solid furniture of an original shape with elements of luxury. Moderate classic furnishings are appropriate. A wide variety of furniture elements is welcome. The fittings should be designer, but functional. If the furniture contains historical motifs, then it is necessary to use modern things in the interior and vice versa. Large fittings are detrimental to glamorous decor, as they are incompatible with tight spaces. It is not customary to save on furniture, so it is better to buy expensive ones, but in smaller quantities. Designers are guided by modern interpretations of Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Baroque to give the interior an artsy feel. It is important to decide on the decor theme in a timely manner - you may need unusual furniture or some details. Shine and harmony will be provided by a large number of transparent and chrome-plated parts.

Textiles, decor and accessories

When choosing textiles, preference is given to brocade, silk, velvet and satin. The main criterion is the price, since expensive fabrics play a key role in creating a glamorous look. The rooms are decorated with stylish and shiny accessories. These include paintings, candlesticks, flowerpots with ornamental plants, expensive painted dishes, figurines and reliefs, beautiful curtains and cornices. The glamorous design welcomes Art Deco accessories. They look fashionable, expensive and modern, containing classic motifs. With accessories typical of Baroque and Art Nouveau, you need to be more restrained. A prerequisite for creating a glamorous decor is the presence of mirrors. A large number of mirror surfaces will visually increase the space, and this is a plus for expensive finishing. Other chrome elements are also used, such as tables, picture frames and furniture legs.

Interior of rooms in style

Decoration begins with finishing vertical and horizontal surfaces. If we are talking about walls, then along with wallpaper they use stone masonry and wooden panels. Glamor is characterized by “synthetic”, so natural materials should be used with caution. Tile, laminate or parquet are suitable for floor covering. The glossy finish of a bright, rich color will organically fit into the style concept. The epitome of glamor should be stylish furniture and accessories. Straight and rounded shapes are acceptable. If all the rooms are actually connected into one, each of them will need to be finished in a different color scheme. If young people live in the apartment, then it is necessary to add shades of frivolity, lightness and selfishness to the interior. At the same time with the use of classical motifs, notes of eccentricity and irony are created.
Additional details in the design of a glamorous interior:

  • caskets;
  • candles with rhinestones;
  • celebrity portraits;
  • stained glass;
  • mosaic.

Living room

The hall is the room where preference has always been given to “classics”. These are low legs, rounded armrests, armchairs and sofas with velor or leather upholstery. Among the variety of colors, it is worth highlighting blue, pink, silver, gold, as well as a color stylized as a leopard skin. You can decorate the room with a multi-colored coffee table trimmed with semi-precious stones such as jasper and malachite. You should not avoid classic decorating techniques: poufs, floor lamps, a large number of decorative pillows, candelabra, expensive porcelain vases, screens, typical accessories for libraries and offices. Bold decisions are welcome - allocating a large area for mirrors, placing them at right angles. Fleecy coverings are placed on the floor, as well as carpets imitating the skin of a wild animal. Professional photographers should consider creating a photo corner.

Kitchen

When purchasing a kitchen set, you should pay attention to criteria such as style and workmanship. The furniture facade creates the main accent of the color palette, and other items are selected in accordance with the overall harmony. Ideally, you want its surface to be glossy and its color to be intense. Stylistics require controversial color solutions. If ideally the furniture is chosen in light colors, then in this case preference can be given to black, dark blue or purple. Kitchen appliances, a refrigerator and a stove, are selected based on style considerations - among materials, preference is given to wood of different colors and durable modern coatings. Designer dishes will add glamor to the kitchen space: frying pans, pots, cutlery. You need to be prepared for additional expenses.

The design should not negatively affect the functionality and practicality of the kitchen space.

Bedroom

Glamorous design cannot disturb the coziness or reduce the level of comfort. On the contrary, a motley combination of colors helps to normalize the mood. It is preferable that the bed be large in size with a headboard of a non-standard shape and have decorative elements (rhinestones, etc.). The decoration of the entire interior will be a round leather bed. Bedspreads imitating animal skins will complement the romantic setting. On either side of the bed there is usually a pair of glossy bedside tables. A dressing table (dressing table) and poufs add variety to the interior. The mirror with spotlights will act as a focal point. Floor mirrors have become popular lately. You need to complete the design by installing a spacious storage closet. The walls are decorated with metal and colored photo frames. A small carpet is placed on the floor. The best textile materials for bedroom decoration:

  • velvet;
  • silk;
  • atlas.

Bathroom

A bathroom made in dark colors looks preferable in terms of style. First you need to weigh the pros and cons. The small room is decorated in light colors. Pastel and caramel shades are suitable. It is better to make inserts contrasting in order to create transitions from light to dark and vice versa. A regular white washbasin is not the best solution. It is preferable that the sink be rectangular and colored, contrasting with the surrounding environment. You should not cover the walls with plain tiles (with the exception of black). You can experiment with hangers and bedside tables. The appearance of the bath plays a decisive role in the perception of the interior of the room. The container itself can be in the shape of a shell, shoe, flower or petal. The more creativity, the better. The decoration is completed by adding an atypical element - a chair, colored candles or a portrait.

Our salon employees attend all the most significant furniture exhibitions of the Old and New Worlds and bring back the latest interior fashion. The interior style called glamor has recently been gaining ground. Moreover, our salon presents the best examples of furniture in the glamor style for the interior. Glamor is not a specific style direction, it is a principle, a way of life, which is reflected in the cultural level of a person, and in the degree of his education, and in the style of clothing, and in the manner of behavior, and, of course, in the interior of his living space . The word “glamor” gradually and confidently entered our lives. Translated from English, it has several meanings - charm, chic, charm, charm. It is also a collective designation for a luxurious lifestyle. If a person considers himself stylish, then he should be stylish in everything, including the interior. To create glamor style in the interior, spacious rooms and premises are best suited for this. If you have a small apartment, it is better to look for a different style for it, because all the chic in this case will hint at squalor, since glamor is completely incompatible with cramped spaces and, especially, with low ceilings. The glamor style should resemble the luxury of ancient castles and royal palaces. To create it, you need to use expensive and high-quality materials, for example, you can use wallpaper that is made “to look like leather” or “to look like silk.” Upholstering furniture with leather will also be relevant for this style.

The origins of the glamor style

The glamorous interior has much in common with palace luxury, but the determining factor here is still the avant-garde of the fashion industry. Glamor inherits the title of celebrity style from Art Deco and becomes a mandatory attribute of celebrity and show business.

The glamorous interior is characterized by a special eclecticism, based on a daring mixture of opposites and the spectacular impracticality of materials. The defiant tone of the glamor style interior involves the use of spacious rooms; a glamorous interior cramped by walls will look ridiculous and alien.

Status and kinship with Art Deco impose special requirements on finishing materials and interior items in the glamor style. Here, not a single square centimeter of surface remains in simplicity; everything should simply scream and boast of luxury. In a glamor style interior, every detail should be luxurious. The most expensive materials are used for decoration: fur, leather, ivory, silk, skins of rare animals.

Interior in glamor style is brilliance in the literal and figurative sense. To decorate a glamorous interior, many mirrors and rhinestones are used in the most unexpected places. Mirrors can be placed on the floor, on the walls, even the floor can be made mirrored if desired. Rhinestones will add a special piquancy and chic to objects - they can be used to cover everything without exception, turning gilded crystal lamps into something like the crown of the Russian Empire, sparkling and shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow.

Items and furniture in a glamorous interior

Fabrics in a glamorous interior are used everywhere, on windows, in niches, on walls. The color scheme excites the senses with richness and contradictory combinations: pink, lilac, purple, black and white. The colors create the necessary contrast to highlight the most expensive and noteworthy places from all the luxurious furnishings.

Furniture in the glamor style usually has a hint of baroque palace luxury. A typical technique for creating glamorous furniture is to take a classic piece as a basis and pass it through the prism of glamorous principles. The result is furniture with clearly recognizable classical proportions, however, with an obvious hypertrophy of decorative means and pretentious combinations. To create furniture in the glamor style, precious woods, leather, fur, rhinestones and the boundless imagination of fashion designers are used.

A glamorous interior is a flashy luxury, shine and fashionable design. A successor to Art Deco, glamorous interior design has become a modern lifestyle for the elite.

The time when the glamorous style appeared in the interior was the 20s of the last century. Decorating a space in this style speaks of the refined taste of the owners.

Glamorous style is a symbol of brilliance, sophistication, luxury, and beauty.

You don't have to have a fortune to decorate a space in a glamorous style; it's enough to have a sense of unrivaled taste.

Distinctive features of the interior in a glamorous style

Distinctive features of the style are the use of gold and silver decoration, pearls, crystal, genuine leather in furniture upholstery, fur, velvet and satin fabrics.

It looks good in spacious rooms with high ceilings. It is chosen by people who are attracted by greatness. They want to emphasize their wealth with this interior.

Home and public spaces can be decorated in this style. To create a glamorous interior, expensive and high-quality materials are suitable.

Wallpaper made from expensive textiles, silk-screen printing, leather wallpaper, wallpaper with an embossed pattern, velvet or holographic patterns will look great on the surface of the walls.

The floor is covered with laminate or natural wood parquet. Sometimes they resort to liquid floor technology. Such modern approaches serve as an interesting addition to a rich interior.

The ceilings are multi-level with stucco elements. Often stucco is used in the manufacture of ceilings. More sophisticated people paint the ceiling with various paintings.

Furniture often combines two styles - modern and oriental style. Elements from the Baroque and the reign of Louis XVI are widely used. Upholstered furniture is characterized by carved legs, curved backs, and rounded armrests.

Furniture upholstery can be leather or fabric. Cover the furniture with natural fur blankets or ones imitating animal skins.

Color solutions for a glamorous style are gold, silver, black, white, turquoise or crimson tones.

Side tables, bedside tables, cabinets have a shiny or mirror surface.

Individual elements of furniture, painted in gold or silver, bring special charm and luxury to the room. Do not overload the room with antique furniture. By combining it with modern items you can get a fashionable and new interior.

Decor elements

The interior will be decorated in a glamorous style with elements that carry a light load: lamps with lampshades made of fabric, huge chandeliers on the ceiling with crystal crystals.

You can complement the room with candles decorated with rhinestones, figurines, embroidered pillows with beads, chrome or gilded photo frames.

Materials must have shiny surfaces. Satin, silk, and velvet fabrics look good in a glamorous interior. It is important to select all elements harmoniously to avoid bad taste.

Mirrors with large carved gilded frames are an integral part of a glamorous interior. They make the space more spacious and solemn. Many people install fireplaces in their living rooms; this takes residents back to the times of palaces and castles.

Interior color palette

A neutral color tone is most often used. The combination of light shades of caramel, beige with catchy colors - blue, black, red - looks harmonious.

The most common color is mother-of-pearl, with pearl shades, which indicates the wealth and dignity of the owner of the room.

The interior, decorated in a glamorous style, looks mysteriously beautiful and delightfully fashionable. It makes the owners who choose this style plunge into the world of brilliance, luxury and dreams.

“Eccentric” (Excentrique(s)) was the title of the exhibition of the French artist Daniel Buren, which was held recently in the Parisian Grand Palais. Multi-colored glass circles were installed on high poles: they, like umbrellas, covered all 13,500 square meters of the exhibition hall. Underneath you could walk around with them. Both the name of the installation and its essence - to bring more colors to the world, to give the audience an unexpected experience - reflect the processes taking place in all areas of art, be it theater, cinema or interior design. all the diversity of world practice that cannot be taken into account) we observe several important vectors. Firstly, intellectual minimalism is held in high esteem: white walls, bookshelves, a long table for meetings and a stunning view from a large window. This is what the homes of the world's leading architects looked like at the Where exhibition. Architects Live, which took place in Milan during the last Furniture Salon, of course, there were some discrepancies: in Daniel Libeskind’s New York studio one wall was painted ocher, and in Márcio Kogan’s in Sao Paulo there is a grand piano, but everywhere the main thing is space and light. .

The second vector is all-conquering historicism, stylization of the forms of past eras. The third vector is the same eccentric design. Not to be confused with kitsch and all sorts of retro. It is bright, like kitsch, but uses modern materials and technologies. In spirit, this is a futuristic style, which brings it closer to intellectual minimalism. The commonality between stylization and eccentricity is that these two directions do not care much about space, but love things, a rich material environment. There is, however, a special way - subtle lyrical improvisation. Pierre Jovanovic and Joseph Dirand work in this vein. The latter creates interiors in black and white, in which any color accent looks like an explosion. Jovanovic loves emptiness and light graphic accents, be it a spiral staircase or sofas of smooth flowing shapes. It is at the same time far from shocking and boring minimalism. But Yovanovitch is one of a kind, and even in France he is perceived as a unique individualist.

As for glamorous interiors, they are excellent from decorators who were lucky to be born Italians - by nationality, and not by passport. In the 1990s, a key figure in eccentric design was Carlo Rampazzi, a native of the “Italian” part of Switzerland. He loves the colors of lemon, turquoise and fuchsia. Often paints walls, ceilings and floors with the same paint. Uses holographic wallpaper and mirrors to create dreamlike multiplying spaces. “Interior design should be amazing,” says Rampazzi. He became famous for his collaboration with the Colombostile company, for which he developed about ten furniture collections. His furniture would be perfect for a carnival: it sparkles with gilt and silver, it has curved legs, and the surfaces are trimmed with feathers, leopard skin, and sequins. As critics wrote, these are objects “from the world of dreams and fairy tales.” The chair, which was once bought by Michael Jackson for 27,000 euros, was decorated with mother-of-pearl shells.

Interiors and furniture should be full of emotions, designers say"

In the 2000s, Rampazzi's baton was picked up by Samuele Mazza. His grandfather was an opera singer, his parents sold interior fabrics, he grew up between the showroom and the opera, the spirit of theatrical improvisation is inherent in all his multifaceted activities. He worked as a fashion designer, designed boutiques of such brands as Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, and made homes for Hollywood stars like George Clooney. And in addition, he wrote 30 books on the history of fashion. Mazza has long been the creative director of the Visionnaire brand. Mazza's iconic piece is the Errakis crystal chandelier with a velvet swing. Agree that it takes a fair amount of courage to place it in the interior. Mazza is an opponent of minimalism and believes that both interiors and furniture should be full of emotions: for the Saint Babila brand, he came up with a chair with a back a la a woman’s corset.

The second center of extravagant design after Italy is England. Over the past eight years, two large books on this topic have been published there: English Eccentric Interiors (2006) by Miranda Harris and English Eccentric. A celebration of imaginative, intriguing and truly stylish interiors (2014) by Rose Beam Shaw. Among the most extravagant figures is the young designer Christopher Jenner, who designed the “neon” interiors of the Diptyque perfume stores in Paris and Penhaligons in London and Singapore. A bright representative of English boundless chic is Gaban O'Keeffe. One of his sensational projects is the palace of millionaire Sao Schlumberger, the largest private house in Paris. For the last decade, O’Keeffe has been actively working in Russia and even learned Russian. There are no “simple” walls in his projects: they are either intricately painted, or upholstered in fabric, trimmed with wood, stone, leather, antique mirror, etc., etc. Within one room, he uses floral print fabrics and wide black and white striped rugs. While his interiors are assembled from individual objects, everything seems to be chaos. But when the last chair falls into place and the curtains fall on the windows, a most complex harmony arises.

Historical traditions are strong in France, and it is almost indecent to indulge in fantasy design there. Even such an obviously extravagant decorator as Jacques Garcia positions himself as a champion of the classicism of the “pre-revolutionary” era - meaning the time before the Great French Revolution. In 2013, at the Metamorphose exhibition in Paris (an annual show of the best decorators in the world), Maria Pergey was responsible for the eccentricity. She designed an incredible Fendi stand: the walls were painted to resemble explosion-damaged masonry, flooded with sunlight, the bed was covered with leopard skin, and there were chests of drawers, incomprehensibly made of wood and bent metal sheets. Le Bureau Enchante (The Office of Delight) looked like the set of The Chronicles of Narnia or another fantasy film. But Maria Pergey is 84 years old! In the 1960s, she was one of the first to make glamorous metal furniture. She is a living legend of French design, she can do anything.

Critics called the rampazzi objects “objects from the world of dreams and fairy tales.”

At first glance, the fantasy “visionary” design is like a lotus on the water: a beautiful flower without visible attachment to the soil. But its historical roots can still be traced. These were not lines, but bright flashes, the precious experience of extravagant personalities. In the 1930s in Italy, the main dreamer was the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio, who turned his house into a luxurious refuge for aesthetes, sensualists and opium lovers. In the 1940s, Hollywood set designer Tony Duquette created visionary, ultra-decorative interiors in Los Angeles. In the 1930s–1950s in Europe, the fashion for extravagance was supported by the millionaire, esthete, and philanthropist Charles de Beistegui. He commissioned a young architect named Le Corbusier to decorate his apartment on the Champs-Elysees, and then they argued for a long time about how to combine graphic space and Louis XV furniture. The resulting mix was called the “Bestegui style.”

Living room in a New York apartment designed by Carlo Rampazzi. There are candles with the scent of baobab on the table.

The eccentric Salvador Dali can be called a predecessor of fantasy furniture: just look at his Mae West Lips Sofa in the shape of the lips of an American film star. Fantasy design is coming. At the Decors a vivre exhibition in Paris, the “Cabinet of Alberto Pinto” has the most “visionary” stand! After the death of its founder, the decorating bureau does not give up its leading position. These tastemakers built a music room immersed in twilight with an incredibly beautiful glass music center (shimmering like the depths of the sea). On the wall of the room is a large mirror in which (praise the video art), like hallucinations, female figures appear and disappear.

The main disadvantage of the glamorous style in the interior is that it quickly gets boring. But, despite everything, more and more decorators are practicing it. Why? Perhaps this is due to the development of technology: every year new materials, ingenious lighting systems, fabrics and much more appear that do not fit into either minimalist or historical interiors. Growing supply seeks demand. And, of course, any designer needs fame. But selling comfortable things and interiors is difficult: they often look ineffective in photographs. Another thing is a sofa in the shape of plump female lips or a plastic chair, the seat of which resembles the imprint of a naked body. Such pictures attract the attention of the public and the press. Extravagance improves communication.
