The most common tools used in electrical work are sets of wrenches, screwdrivers and drills, pliers, side cutters, dies with die holders, taps, files, and a chisel. You will also need a hammer, a vise, a jumper, an electric soldering iron, an electric drill, a puncher, a wall chaser, an electric grinder.

Of the special devices for electrical installation, indicators should be mentioned, with the help of which the parameters of the electrical network and the presence of voltage in it are determined.

The simplest indicator of the presence or absence of current in the network is easy to make on your own, with a threaded cartridge on hand, a low-power incandescent lamp (for example, from a flashlight), two pieces of wire in insulation and two metal probes.

It works like this: it is attached to the area to be tested; touch the contact head. If the wire is phase, then the light will light up, if zero - no.

Using an indicator screwdriver, determine which of the wires is zero (the switch must be in the “on” position and mark it.

To measure network parameters, you need to get a tester that combines the functions of an ammeter, voltmeter and ohmmeter and easily determines the current strength, voltage and resistance of the network.
