Even such work as connecting an intercom requires the participation of a third-party organization. As a rule, even those tenants who do not have knowledge in the technical field can figure out how to install the tube.

Many modern city dwellers have more than once brought a telephone or cable to the apartment to connect the Internet. Installing the intercom handset is not much more difficult: it is enough to have access to the shield in the entrance and the switch. Most of the schemes used by today's companies are standard, and therefore it will not be difficult to understand them and mount a handset at home.

How to choose a suitable intercom handset?

By coincidence, it may turn out that in the entrance of an apartment building, if there is an intercom, the handset itself will not be in the apartment. The previous owners could dismantle it, or they simply did not pay for this service.

When control systems were just beginning to appear on the market, there were not so many service companies. Now their number has grown, but with the quality of services, a potential client can lose. The standard tubes that are installed in the apartment are not at all unique - you can buy them in technical or hardware stores. Before buying, you should check on what principle the intercom works in the house: usually there are two of them - digital or analog. You can find out from neighbors who also connected the handset with their own hands or call a service company.

According to the system, a tube is selected for a digital or analog intercom. Outwardly and at a price, they will not differ in anything, only the latter are more common, respectively, and the connection schemes will be different. Digital connection

Now that an analog or digital handset has been purchased for the apartment, it must be connected correctly, otherwise there is a risk of leaving the residents of the entire entrance without communication. Installing the fixture in the most convenient place in the apartment is easy, dowels and other fastening materials should be included. The next step is to understand how the system works.

The market offers more handsets for digital systems, while homes tend to have analogue ones. In order to connect an intercom according to the digital principle of the system, you will need to program the handset itself. First it needs to be disassembled. In addition to the wires to the mains, the installer will need jumpers with numbers located in the upper right corner. If you add them all up, you get the number 255 - this is the maximum number of handsets that can connect via this system.

The trick is that with the help of these jumpers you need to "assemble" the correct apartment number. For example, if you need to connect an intercom in apartment number 37, close the jumpers with the values ​​32, 4, 1. When added, these numbers add up to the desired number. Accordingly, when changing the number in the apartment, the jumpers should be re-closed.

Then power is connected to the handset (you need to take care of the source in advance, at least 220 volts), and the two-wire wire is laid to the intercom, that is, to the coiled cable in the shield on the landing. Usually it is easy to find out the right cable, you just need to trace where the same wires go from neighboring apartments. As a rule, they are combined with electrical tape. Connect according to the polarity markers, otherwise the circuit will not work.

Connection via analogue system

If the management company reported that the intercom in the entrance was connected according to the analog principle, and no jumpers were found when disassembling the tube, the equipment will have to be connected according to the coordinate matrix system. Compared to digital, it is considered obsolete, however, when used, it gives fewer failures with fatal consequences. If we take into account that up to 70 apartments can be located in the entrance of an ordinary high-rise building, then work on such a system is fully justified.

For a more detailed analysis, the following scheme is proposed:

• Call block (the calling panel itself, which is most likely located on the street);
• Switchboard (small communication center, which should be located on the ground floor).

It is from the switch that two twisted-pair cables (a landline phone is connected through the same one) run throughout the house. As a rule, the installer company is engaged in laying the cable in the entrance, you only need to connect the cores from your tube yourself, and for this you again need a shield.

Among all the small boxes, you need to find one from which two or three cables go, depending on how the apartments are located on the floor. Let's say there are four apartments on one site with numbers 78, 79, 80, 81. Accordingly, there should be three cables in the box. Now the correct connection of the intercom depends only on personal care: you need to figure out which bus the wires from neighboring apartments go to and also connect your own to them, observing the polarity. A plus is connected to the tens bus, and a minus is connected to the ones bus.

As far as possible, the results of the work with your own hands should be constantly checked. If one of the neighbors finds out that the tenant or the owner is connecting to the system on their own, then problems may arise, and financial proceedings will follow.

• The analog system in the house allows you to install several tubes for the intercom in the same room. This will be true for communal apartments, where each room has its own owner. To do it yourself, you only need to connect additional tubes, but come up with numbers that do not exist in this entrance for them;
• It may also happen that after connecting the intercom on your own, the system will refuse to work correctly. If after several checks a positive result is not achieved, then the matter is in the programmed circuit. It will no longer be possible to change its data with your own hands, for this you need to invite the master from the service center. Before that, it is desirable to return the location of the wires in the shield to its original state;
• There is no need to install the entire system - there are specialists for this. However, with subsequent maintenance, you can save a lot if you understand the wiring diagrams correctly.
